For this, in these times, you need to stay focused and motivated to keep yourself on track with your fitness goals. Despite the fact that sports activities as well as relaxation, mindfulness and recreational activities, reports a big increment in our overall health and wellbeing, we don’t always follow and practice the activities we should in order to feel better. The design team at Spotify is very aware of these facts and wanted to address the issue. So, we got together. Music has a lot of power for motivational purposes and we need to figure out how to use it to create a better experience for Spotify users that want to get involve into more fulfilling activities, feel more engaged and keep track of their goals. After some desktop research and user interviews, the first relevant insights came to light. The fitness industry has grown massively and some of us tend to associate exercise with a lot of gadgets, clothing, devices and other personal belongings. Like if there was the need to get very involved to actually get the benefits of an active sporty life.
